PILATES IN STANDING
(All Levels)
Here we begin by applying the fundamentals of the Pilates Method in our Standing. This will enable you to get a feel for the technique in your day to day movement & help you to understand how the matwork relates both on & off your mat. -
PILATES IN SITTING
(All Levels)
Next we move to sitting, working with the very same principles we used in Standing; we look at the ideal height for your chair in order to create length in the spine, recruiting the powerhouse to maintain this new found length. -
TAKING IT TO YOUR MAT
(All Levels)
So here we see how the work in our standing & sitting now applies to the work we do on our mat. Everything links together so our everyday movement supports the work we do on our mat & vice versa. This invaluable work lays the foundation from which we build in the Classes.

A Progressive Journey To The Classical Mat

FOUNDATION ONE: RELEASE Class (40 Minutes).
(All Levels)
Here we work with the basics, setting up the frame of the body, finding our connection with the mat, creating length in the spine to make room for the breath & then challenging stability with mobility.
We establish the areas we need to release, & those we need to strengthen, & begin moving the body through all planes of movement.
The focus of these Foundational Pilates Classes is to prepare mind and body for the Classical Mat, bringing about balance in order to recenter, restore & renew. -
FOUNDATION TWO: STRENGTH Class (40 Minutes).
(All Levels)
Building on from the Foundation One Release Class, we set about building strength, having the foundations of the Pilates Technique in place. Always recapping on alignment of the frame in order to build in balance, we begin breaking down some of the Classical Mat exercises & move the spine through flexion, extension & rotation.
As we journey through these classes, we will become increasingly aware of areas that are restricting our movement, & so use the genius of this Work to bring about change. -
MAGIC CIRCLE MAGIC Class (60 Minutes)
(Intermediate)
Ideal for those working well with Foundation One & Two Classes.
Here we use the genius of the Magic Circle, a Classical Pilates piece of equipment, to focus on building strength & connectedness through midline & Powerhouse, as we progress to the Classical Mat exercises.
I will cue you through a balanced selection of the Classical Mat using the Magic Circle to both support & challenge the Work, helping you find a deeper connection to your Centre.
It will be fun!!! -
LAYERED Classical Pilates Mat Class (60 Minutes).
(Intermediate/Adv)
The Classical Pilates Matwork Repertoire is challenging. So here I layer a balanced selection of the Repertoire to make the genius of the Work accessible to all..
I would always recommend working through the Foundation One & Two Release & Strength Classes first as it is this Work that prepares the body to fully access these Classical Mat Classes.
The focus is building Stamina as we move from one classic to the next, but always adhering to the Foundation of the Work from which we build with length & strength. -
THE COMPLETE Classical Pilates Matwork Repertoire (60 Minutes)
(Advanced)
For the advanced student, with working knowledge of the order of the repertoire.
Here we move through all 34 Classical Pilates Exercises, with focus on set up, but simply naming & cueing the reps as we move.
Each student should be able to modify each classic as necessary & appropriate to their own individual mind & body.
We will move continuously through each of the exercises to build stamina & flow, as originally taught with transitions from one to the next.

Focused Classes Covering Specific Bodywork

Upper Body Release (11 Minutes)
(All Levels)
A gentle fully cued class to align the frame, work on the breath, & free tension through head, neck & shoulders. Ideal for the end of the day as a reset before sleep. -
Hip Rebalancer For Happy Hips (20 Minutes)
(All Levels)
All you need to focus the work on restoring balance to lower body & hips. Ideal after a run or intensive exercise, or if you have been sitting for long periods. -
Spine Mobility (20 Minutes)
(Intermediate)
A focused class moving the spine through Flexion, Extension & Rotation. Ideal when the spine feels stiff or blocked, as first we work to decompress the spine creating length as we move. -
The Ab Series/Series Of Five (10 Minutes)
(Intermediate/Adv)
After connecting to the Mat, we seamlessly move through this brilliant Series, using the levers to challenge the integrity of the Powerhouse, & move as one fully integrated whole. -
Effective Arm Series (12 Minutes)
(Beg/Int)
Here we focus on the set up of the frame to ensure the work of the arms is both effective & efficient. This is key to working the arms in balance, & all the tips you need will be found here!! -
Side Lying Legs (11 Minutes)
(Intermediate)
As with the arm series, the set up of the frame is essential if we are to work the legs effectively. Here we do exactly this, to create long, strong & balanced legs in proportion with the whole. -
Waist & Side Body Strengthener (15 Minutes)
(Intermediate/Adv)
Alignment & set up of the frame once again makes these waist & side body exercises effective. If you struggle with side plank or side bend, allow me to cue you through to success!.
3 Classics 1 Flow (Layered)

3 Classic 1 Flow: Layered (25/30 Minutes)

A perfect option for those who are familiar with the Foundation One & Two Classes. These Classical Flows will keep you moving for between 20/30 minutes & will prepare you beautifully for the one hour Layered Classical Mat Classes..
