PRE PILATES MAT CLASS: 6pm (UK) Wednesdays (55 mins)
All Levels
This is where we begin.
Here we learn how to truly connect (or reconnect for those already familiar with pilates) mind with body by listening to the sensory feedback we receive from our mat. We find our connectedness with the mat, creating length in the spine to make room for the breath, then challenging stability with mobility.
We establish the areas we need to release, those we need to strengthen, & begin moving the body through all planes of movement.
The focus of this Pre-Pilates Class is to support your mind & body in everyday movement & prepare for the Classical Pilates Exercises that follow on this program. -
BASIC CLASSICAL PILATES MAT CLASS: 2pm (UK) Mondays (55 mins)
All Levels
Building on from the Pre Pilates Class, we set about building strength, having the foundations of the Pilates Technique in place. Always recapping on alignment of the frame in order to build in balance, we begin layering some of the Classical Mat exercises as follows:Hundred . Roll Back to Roll Up . One Leg Circle . Rolling Back . One Leg Stretch . Double Leg Stretch . Spine Stretch
As we journey through these classes, we will become increasingly aware of areas that are compromising our movement, & so use the genius of this Work to bring about balance, strength & length.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSICAL PILATES MAT CLASS: 2pm (UK) Wednesdays (55 mins)
Intermediate
Ideal for those working well with the Basic Classical Mat Class & are ready to progress to rotation & extension of the spine within the Classical Work.
The choreography of the exercises becomes a little more challenging, so that all important mind body connection is essential to ensure the Work remains effective. We draw from:Hundred . Roll Up . One Leg Circle . Rolling Back . Series of Five . Spine Stretch . Rocker . Corkscrew Prep . Saw . Neck Roll . One Leg Kick . Double Leg Kick . Neck Pull . Side Kick . Up Down . Small Circles . Teaser One . Seal
Our focus is to build strength moving the spine through effective Flexion, Extension & Rotation.

ADVANCED CLASSICAL PILATES MAT CLASS: 6pm (UK) Thursdays (55 mins)
Intermediate/Advanced
Available to those who are working well with my Intermediate Classical Mat Class, and are ready to progress to inversions, and work with a more complex choreography.
We draw from a balanced selection of the complete Classical Mat Repertoire including:Hundred . Roll Up . Roll Over . One Leg Circle . Rolling Back . Series of Five . Spine Stretch . Rocker . Corkscrew . Saw . Swan Dive . One Leg Kick . Double Leg Kick . Neck Pull . High Scissor Series . Shoulder Bridge . Spine Twist . Jackknife . Side Leg Series . Teaser . Hip Twist . Swimming . Leg Pull Front & Back . Kneeling Side Kick . Side Bend . Boomerang . Seal & Crab . Rocking . Control Balance . Push Up
Participants will be shown modifications where necessary in order that the Work remains effective. As always please listen to your body, & if support is needed, the addition of 1:1 training is always recommended.
